Even though North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is being projected as a ruthless dictator, that he is a man with a sense of humour became evident during his meeting with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, June 12.

Trump-Kim summit: People will think this to be a science fiction film scene, says Kim

According to a Reuters report, Kim was heard telling Trump through an interpreter that the entire world was watching the moment and many people would think it to be a scene from a fantasy... science fiction film.

Trump was seen smiling hearing Kim's words.

Trump himself was also relaxed and optimistic and predicted that the meeting would "solve a big problem, a big dilemma". He also said that his one-on-one meeting with Kim was "very, very good" and added that they have an "excellent relationship".

Kim said there would be challenges ahead but promised to work with the American president.

The two leaders met over a 45-minute talk at the Capella Hotel in Singapore's Sentosa Island after shaking hands at the hotel's lobby, giving wings to an imagination which seemed too difficult to be realised even six months ago.

The two sides were meeting for an expanded bilateral meeting and working lunch.
