Trump Campaign Secures $130 Million in August for Election Push
Donald Trump's campaign announced it raised $130 million in August, a decrease from the previous month. However, advisers believe this amount positions the GOP nominee well for the final two months of the general election. According to the campaign, 98% of these funds came from donations under $200, with an average donation of $56.

The fundraising update comes as the general election battle between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris intensifies. Over six weeks ago, President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid, elevating Harris to lead the Democratic ticket. This shift has resulted in increased contributions from Democratic donors.
Trump's Fundraising Momentum
Trump's campaign has shown strong fundraising capabilities. In July, Trump's campaign and its affiliates reported raising $138.7 million. Despite this being less than what Harris raised during her initial week as a presidential candidate, it still reflects significant support.
At the beginning of August, Trump's campaign reported having $327 million on hand. By the end of the month, this figure stood at $295 million. "With Republicans united and a growing number of Independents and disaffected Democrats crossing partisan lines, the Trump-Vance campaign has momentum for the final stretch of the race," said senior Trump campaign adviser Brian Hughes.
Harris' Fundraising Efforts
Harris' campaign has not yet released its August fundraising figures. However, during a five-week period starting with Biden's exit and ending after the Democratic National Convention, Harris' campaign reported raising $540 million.
On Tuesday, Harris' campaign announced it was allocating nearly $25 million to support Democrats in down-ballot races. The campaign stated this was the largest amount ever allocated in a presidential cycle for such efforts.
"These fundraising numbers from August are a reflection of that movement and will propel President Trump's America First movement back to the White House so we can undo the terrible failures of Harris and Biden," Hughes added.
The general election is reaching its peak as both campaigns ramp up their efforts. With substantial funds raised by both sides, the final months promise to be highly competitive.
