Sweden backs India’s bid for UNSC, MTCR memberships
Stockholm, June 2: Sweden has extended its support for India's bid to obtain a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
Sweden has also expressed support for India's claim to membership of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).

President Pranab Mukherjee who is on three-day tour to the nation has appreciated the Swedish support that helped India to achieve observer status in the Arctic Council during the period of Sweden's Chairmanship.
On the last day of his visit to Sweden, President Pranab Mukherjee will go to Karolinska Institute. The Prestigious Institute situated at Stockholm awards Noble Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
The President will also visit the one of the oldest educational Institute Uppsala University where a sculpture of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore has been kept.
President Mukherjee will also address a business seminar in Sweden before leaving for Belarus on Tuesday.
