Surprise visitor: Bill Gates meets Modi at UN

New York, Sept 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a surprise visitor here on Monday - Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Gates, who missed the meeting that Modi had with technology leaders in San Jose over the weekend, dropped in while Modi was meeting French president Francois Hollande at the UN.

External affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted: "Look who dropped by! Missed in Silicon Valley, the original tech entrepreneur @BillGates says hello to PM & President".'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly summit.
