Afghanistan: Suicide attack rocks busy area in Kabul

Kabul, Aug 22: At least three people were killed and 18 injured on Saturday when a suicide attack ripped through Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, police said.

According to witnesses, the attack took place in Abdul Haq square's Macroryan area, Khaama Press reported.

According to police sources, the attacker rammed a vehicle packed with explosives into a vehicle convoy apparently transporting foreigners.

Health Ministry spokesman Wahidudllah Mayar confirmed the casualties and said the injured included five women.
