Pakistanis Strong Enough To Get Back 6 Rivers: Bilawal Bhutto Threatens India After Munir
After Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir, a prominent politician from Islamabad has now issued a threat to India over the suspension of the decades-old Indus Water Treaty.
Bhutto Threatens India
Speaking at an event, Pakistan People's Party Chief Bilawal Bhutto has asked the Pakistanis to unite against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "aggression". "The actions of the Indian government, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, have caused great damage to Pakistan. It is necessary that we, as a united people, stand together against PM Modi and these aggressions," NDTV quoted the foreign minister as saying on Monday.

According to him, Pakistan will be left with only one option of waging war against India if India does not revoke the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty.
"You people (Pakistanis) are strong enough for war to get back all six rivers. If India continues on this path, it leaves us with no choice except to consider all options, including the possibility of war, to protect our national interests," Bhutto said at the event organised by the Culture Department of the government of Sindh.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam and hit nine terror infrastructure sites in the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Pakistan. New Delhi successfully countered Islamabad's attack, causing a lot of damage.
"We did not start the war. But if you think of carrying out an attack like Sindoor, then know that the people of every province of Pakistan are ready to fight you - and this is a war that you will definitely lose. We won't bow down," Bhutto stated.
Asim Munir's Threat
His remarks come a day after Asim Munir warned India of "nuclear war" if his country faces an existential threat in future. "We are a nuclear nation, if we think we are going down, we'll take half the world down with us," Field Marshal Asim Munir said at a dinner hosted by businessman Adnan Asad in Tampa in the US.
India responded to his remarks, calling them an example of Pakistan's "nuclear sabre-rattling."
"Our attention has been drawn to remarks reportedly made by the Pakistani Chief of Army Staff while on a visit to the United States.
Nuclear sabre-rattling is Pakistan's stock-in-trade. The international community can draw its own conclusions on the irresponsibility inherent in such remarks, which also reinforce the well-held doubts about the integrity of nuclear command and control in a state where the military is hand-in-glove with terrorist groups," the statement from the MEA read.
