Pakistan Election official results: Imran Khan’s PTI ends up with 116 seats
Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged as the single largest party, winning 116 of the 270 contested seats, as Pakistan's election commission released final results of the general elections marred by a tediously slow vote count and resulting in allegations of rigging.
The final results were announced more than two days after the conclusion of voting for the 11th general elections held on July 25.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led the National Assembly tally with 116 seats.
Jailed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 64 seats and former president Asif Ali Zardari's Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with 43 seats are placed at number two and three respectively, the ECP said.
The PTI is on the top with 16,857,035 votes, followed by the PML-N with 12,894,225 and the PPP with 6,894,296 votes.

Around 70 per cent of the supporters of both parties have reported a strong or very strong intent to vote. To win a majority in the province, the PTI has to swing a substantial portion of the undecided voters on to its side. The case would be similar where the PML-N is concerned.
Pakistan elections: Imran Khan has thin edge over PML-N says survey
In Punjab, the survey shows that PMLN has a lead of 7 percentage points over PTI which is outside the survey's provincial margin of error of + 1.9 percentage points. But what is of concern for PMLN, and gives hope to PTI, is that outside central Punjab, the former's 5 percentage points lead lies within the survey's margin of error of 2.6 percentage points in this region.
This, combined with the fact that this region accounts for 55 per cent of the province's National Assembly seats, makes the contest between the two parties a real cliffhanger.
