Hundreds of individuals who self-identify as dogs assembled in a German city center, engaging in communication through barking and howling among themselves.

The members of the group have claimed that they do not want to be identified as humans but rather as pooches. The viral clip on social media showed over 1,000 participants communicating solely through howling and barking.

The bizarre event did not go well with many netizens who questioned the authenticity of their canine instincts. Some wondered if they should be made to undergo survival tests in the Siberian tundra.

"Just abandon them in the Siberian tundra and let them survive with their canine instincts," one user said. The second one said, "Can you imagine when they all have to defecate?"

The third user stated, "Call animal control and give them their rabies doses." "But if they identify as dogs, why do they put on masks?" the fourth netizen added.

Individuals who impersonate dogs have gained immense popularity on the internet in recent years.

One notable example is a Japanese man who identifies as a Collie, going by the name Toco. He gained widespread attention for his remarkably realistic dog costume, for which he invested two million Yen, equivalent to £12,480. This costume was a fulfillment of his lifelong dream to 'become an animal'.

Also, a British man named Tom Peters was in the news after he identified as a Dalmatian in 2019.
