OceanGate Halts All Operations After Titan Submersible Implosion
OceanGate, a company that specialises in submersible expeditions, has halted all exploration and business operations following the fatal implosion of one of its submersibles in June. The company's website now features a banner announcing the news, but no further details have been released.

The implosion occurred on June 1, 2023, while the submersible, Titan, was on an expedition to the wreck of the Titanic. Five people were on board at the time, and all were killed. Meanwhile, the cause of the implosion is still under investigation by U.S. and Canadian authorities.
Titan was a state-of-the-art submersible that was designed to carry up to six people to depths of up to 4,000 meters. It was equipped with a variety of scientific instruments, including cameras, sonar, and a manipulator arm.
The company's website also lists a number of other projects that are now on hold, including an expedition to the Mariana Trench and a project to map the ocean floor.
It is unclear when OceanGate will resume operations. The company has said that it will continue to cooperate with the investigation into the implosion and that it will "make decisions about the future of the company in due course."
