#NotMyPresident: Anti-Donald Trump protests rock America
From New York to Chicago, thousands of protestors holding placards chanted slogans like “Not My President” against Trump on the streets.
New York, Nov 10: Just few hours after Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States of America, the nation witnessed several anti-Trump protests on Wednesday.
From New York to Chicago, thousands of protestors holding placards chanted slogans like "Not My President" against Trump on the streets.
Even the hashtag--#NotMyPresident--trended on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.
We have witnessed how during the recent campaign trail, Trump with his regular anti-women, anti-Muslims and anti-immigrants comments angered millions across the world.
The victory of the business tycoon-turned-politician took several by surprise.
Most of the protests were non-violent, say reports.
"The only major violence was reported in Oakland, California, during a protest that began shortly before midnight and lasted into early Wednesday morning. Some demonstrators set garbage bins on fire, broke windows and sprayed graffiti at five businesses in the downtown area, police said. No arrests were made," added a report by Reuters.
