No Obama-Clinton meeting on June 8
Washington, June 8: US President Barack Obama will not hold meet presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during planned fundraising events for the party on Wednesday,June 8 the White House said.
"These fundraisers (for the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee) have been on the books for quite some time, and I don't believe most people believed that the Democratic nomination would continue to be contested into the first week in June," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said.

"So I can tell you that the president does not expect to see or meet or appear with Clinton when he's in New York tomorrow (Wednesday)," Politico quoted Earnest as saying.
Obama spoke to Clinton's rival Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on the weekend before the former First Lady crossed the threshold of the 2,383 delegates necessary to secure the Democratic nomination.
Clinton on Tuesday proclaimed herself the victor of the Democratic primaries.
