Nepal Earthquake: Indian killed for cracking jokes on victims

Kuwait, April 28: A Nepalese man killed his Indian roommate as the latter had cracked jokes on victims of recent earthquake in Nepal. The two young men used to share a room in Kuwait, UAE.

According to police sources, the Nepalese was upset as his roomamate had made fun of the earthquake victims during a drinking session at night.

The accused reportedly told the police that he waited for his roommate to go to bed before stabbing him many times.

A local paper quoted one official as saying, "He confessed to the crime after he was arrested on the next day. He told police that he decided to kill the Indian after he started to make fun of the quake victims in his country."

Massive earthquake in Nepal:

A massive quake of 7.9 magnitude jolted Nepal on Saturday, April 25. More than 4,000 people were killed in the disaster. Prime Minister of the country, Sushil Koirala on Tuesday, April 28 said that death toll may cross 10,000.

India was one among the countries which extended full support to Nepal. Indian government officials informed that Indian forces have been giving full support to Nepal Govt and forces in relief and rescue work. Total 5,400 Indians have been evacuated so far from Nepal.
