Nepal-quake: Pak sends 'beef masala'

According to India Today report, Indian doctors who are a part of a 34-member medical team, sent to Nepal for treating the survivors has confirmed this news .

One of the doctor, treating survivors at Kathmandu's Bir Hospital said, "When we reached the airport to collect the food items from Pakistan, we found packets of ready-to-eat meals, including packets of 'beef masala'. There were other food items too".

When asked that has local people consumed the food items, another doctor responded,  "Most of the local people are not aware of the contents. When they understand, they avoid it".

Reacting sharply over outrageous act of Pakistan, he added further, "Pakistan has hurt Nepal's religious sentiments by supplying the masala. Shockingly, it did not care about the sensitivity of the matter."

Sources say after the matter came to light, the Nepali officials informed the government about the same. A top Nepal government officials as quoted by India Today said, "The matter was conveyed to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and the intelligence chief. We are also starting an internal inquiry to verify the facts. If the report is correct, we will raise the matter at the diplomatic level with Pakistan. India, being our key partner, will also be informed of the developments."

For Hindu, cow is a sacred animal and they consider 'slaughtering' as a crime. Nepal having 85 per cent Hindu population was a Hindu country some times ago. Recently it has become a republic country.
