More US voters view parties as divided: Poll
Washington, May 3: An increasing percentage of voters in both the Republican and Democratic parties in the US view their parties as divided, a new national poll said on Monday.
As many as 49 percent of GOP voters say the Republican party is divided and will remain so in the general election in November, up by three percent compared with that in March, according to the CNN/ORC poll.

The sentiment is more common among non-(Donald) Trump GOP voters, 60 percent of whom say the party is and will remain split in November, Xinhua news agency reported.
On the Democratic side, 69 percent say the party is split, as compared to 59 percent in March, and nearly one in four Democratic voters now believe that the party is likely to remain divided through November.
Meanwhile, the poll showed that an overwhelming majority of US voters believe that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, currently the front-runners for the Republican and Democratic presidential primaries, will win each party's nomination.
A total of 84 percent of voters -- regardless of their party allegiance -- think Trump will notch the GOP nomination, and 85 percent of all voters believe that Clinton will clinch the Democratic nomination.
