Meet Malik Obama, Barack Obama's Half-Brother, Avid Supporter Of Donald Trump

Malik Obama, the half-brother of former US President Barack Obama, who once celebrated his younger brother's historic election win in 2008, is endorsing Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Malik's endorsement comes amid a viral controversy involving an AI-generated image of Tim Walz's family members wearing 'Walz's For Trump' T-shirts. The image sparked debate over its flawed AI-generated features, with users pointing out that everyone in the picture appeared to have only four fingers.

Malik confirmed his support for Trump, declaring on social media, "I am Malik Obama. I'm a registered Republican and I'm voting for President Donald Trump."

His endorsement raises eyebrows given Trump's proposed policies, including a ban on Muslims entering the US, which starkly contrasts with Malik's background as a practicing Muslim.

Malik, once the best man at Barack Obama's wedding, had his brother serve the same role at his own wedding. However, their relationship has deteriorated over the years, especially after Malik's initial support for Trump during the 2016 election.

He was even a special guest at one of the presidential debates in Las Vegas, invited by Trump's campaign.

In a 2016 interview, Malik expressed admiration for Trump, stating, "I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart. Make America Great Again is a great slogan. I would like to meet him."

Their estrangement has been attributed to several factors, including Malik's disappointment with his brother's presidency and disagreements over same-sex marriage.

He has also voiced his dissatisfaction over Barack's handling of the Libyan crisis and the removal of Muammar Gaddafi, saying, "My brother and the Secretary of State disappointed me in that regard."

Malik has openly shared his frustrations about his brother's lack of support for the foundation he set up in their father's name, lamenting, "My brother didn't help me at all. He wanted me to shut it down when I set it up. He hasn't supported me at all."

Malik added, "Honestly, I'll be happy when my brother is out of office, and I will finally be out of the limelight and be able to live like a human being."

Amid political tensions and family drama, Malik Obama's vocal support of Trump adds fuel to the ongoing discussions about his political leanings and strained relationship with Barack Obama.
