In the video, Macron attempted a Hindi message and then checked the wording aloud. Macron also thanked Modi for the visit and described the discussions as productive. Macron said a fresh meeting was expected in February. Macron ended the message with a national salute linked to India.

Macron said, "Priya mitra Narendra, mujhe bahut khushi hai aap ka Nice, Evian aur Paris, daure ke liye swagat karte, France Bharat ki dosti amar rahe Dear friend Narendra, I feel very happy to welcome you on your trip to Nice, Evian and Paris and I wish the friendship between France and India remains eternal.\" Macron added, \"I hope it was correct,\" after speaking the Hindi lines.

Macron also said, \"Thank you for your visit. Thank you for our friendship. It was a very fruitful visit. France loves you. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon, in February. Jai Hind.\" The farewell note followed Modi’s schedule across France. It also referenced the official meetings held during the trip.

Narendra Modi France visit included Nice, Evian and Paris events

Modi arrived in the Mediterranean city of Nice on June 13. Modi inaugurated the Bharat Innovates programme alongside Macron. Modi also held a bilateral meeting with the French president there. The events in Nice formed the opening part of the France leg.

Modi then visited Slovakia from June 14 to 16. The trip was the first by an Indian prime minister. After Slovakia, Modi went to the French commune of Evian-Les-Bains. Modi attended the G7 Summit on Tuesday and Wednesday, with India invited as a guest country.

Modi concluded the trip in Paris on Thursday. Modi addressed the Indian diaspora and the technology forum VivaTech 2026. The Paris stop also followed the earlier events in Nice and Evian. These engagements marked the final stage of the overseas schedule.

Modi later described the France visit as wide in engagement and outcomes. Modi wrote, \"This visit to France has been extensive when it comes to engagement and outcomes. It began in Nice, where the Bharat Innovates programme was held, followed by Evian for G7 and then in Paris, where I addressed VivaTech 2026 and a large community programme, as well as met CEOs,\" in a social media post.

Modi also thanked Macron and the French side for the reception during the visit. Modi wrote, \"I am especially grateful to my friend President Macron, the Government and the people of France for the warmth. The India-France friendship will become even stronger in the times to come,\" and linked it to future cooperation. Macron’s farewell video echoed that message.
