Jeffrey Epstein’s Purported Suicide Note Released Years After Jail Death, Says ‘No Fun- NOT WORTH IT!!’

A handwritten note believed to have been written by disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein before his death in a New York jail has now been released publicly after remaining sealed for several years.

The document, which surfaced during unrelated criminal proceedings, was unsealed by a federal judge after a request from The New York Times. The note contains emotional and mysterious statements and has once again brought attention to the circumstances surrounding Epstein's death in 2019.

Note Released Following Court Order

The handwritten note was made public on Wednesday after US District Judge Kenneth Karas ruled that there was no legal reason to continue keeping it sealed.

The document had been submitted as part of the criminal case involving Nicholas Tartaglione, Epstein's former jail cellmate. Because the note became part of court records, the judge said it qualified as a judicial document and should be accessible to the public.
In his ruling, Judge Karas stated that no party involved in the case had provided a valid reason to keep the note hidden from public view.

However, the court clarified that the release of the document does not confirm whether the note was genuinely written by Epstein. The judge also did not verify how the note was handled or stored over the years.

Reports suggest that prosecutors did not oppose the request to release the document.

What Was Written in the Purported Note?

The note was reportedly written on yellow-lined paper and contains several fragmented and emotional statements.

One line in the document reads:

"They investigated me for months - Found NOTHING!!!"

Another sentence states:

"It is a treat to be able to choose one's time to say goodbye."

The note ends with dramatic lines including:

"Watcha want me to do - Bust out cryin!! No fun - NOT WORTH IT!!"

The document also reportedly mentions "15 year old charges," which appears to refer to Epstein's earlier criminal case in Florida. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor as part of a controversial plea agreement.

Link to Earlier Jail Incident

The note is believed to be connected to an earlier incident in July 2019, weeks before Epstein's death.

On July 23, 2019, Epstein was found injured inside his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. Authorities at the time described it as a suspected suicide attempt.

According to reports, the note was allegedly hidden inside a graphic novel before being discovered by Tartaglione.

Jail officers found Epstein on the floor of the shared cell with marks around his neck and a strip of bedsheet wrapped around him. Officials said he was breathing heavily but was still responsive.

Initially, one correctional officer reported that Epstein claimed Tartaglione had tried to kill him. But later interviews showed Epstein saying he had no issue with his cellmate and did not want to accuse him unfairly.

Tartaglione also denied harming Epstein and reportedly told officials he believed Epstein was having a medical emergency because he appeared to be snoring with his eyes open.

Epstein's Death Still Surrounded by Questions

Epstein died on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving underage girls in New York and Florida.

Authorities officially ruled his death a suicide.

At the time of his death, Epstein was reportedly alone in his jail cell. However, the case has continued to generate public debate and conspiracy theories because of several security failures inside the jail.

Investigations later found that correctional officers failed to properly monitor Epstein on the night of his death. Some staff members were accused of sleeping or browsing the internet instead of carrying out required checks.

Questions also remained over missing surveillance footage and other procedural lapses at the facility.

The release of the purported suicide note has once again renewed public attention on Epstein's life, criminal cases, and mysterious death.
