Istanbul violence: Gunfires, blast rock Turkish city
Ankara, Aug 10: At least 10 people including seven policemen were injured in a blast took place in a police in Turkey on Monday, media reported.
Gunfire was also reported outside the US consulate in the Sariyer district. However, no injury or casualty reported in the attack on the consulate.
The attacks reported at the time when tension between Turkey and rebels of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is at highest level, reported BBC.
Turkey has also supported and started participating in US led coalition airstrikes against the Islamic State (ISIS).
Turkey bombing: Suspect identified
According to reports, the consulate attackers managed to flee from the scene but one of the two assailants, possibly a woman, has now been arrested.
The consulate said in a tweet that it was closed until further notice.
Two suspected militants have been killed in clashes with police in the district of Sultanbeyli where the attack on the police station took place.
US diplomatic missions have been targeted in Turkey in the past also.
