Israel: Woman sets car on fire after man denied her cigarette

Jerusalem, April 30: A woman in Israel has allegedly set a man's car on fire after he reportedly denied her a cigarette, media reported.

Israel police have released a CCTV footage of woman setting a man's car on fire at a petrol station after he allegedly refused to give her a cigarette, media reported.

In the footage woman can be seen approaching the man, who is refuelling his car at a petrol pump, and having a brief conversation with him.

She then walks away before returning to set fire to the petrol pump, and leaving the man scrambling to pull the pump out of the car as it was engulfed in flames. No casualty of injury has been reported in the incident.

The accused woman in her mid 30s has been arrested by the police. Although she has denied setting car on fire deliberately.

According to media reports, a court in Jerusalem has extended the woman's arrest for five days and ordered a psychological evaluation.
