Israel Strikes Back With Operation Iron Swords After Hamas Attack Kills 200, Injures 1100| Details

Israel has launched 'Operation Iron Swords' against Hamas militants in response to the declaration of a 'state of war' on Saturday, 7th October. The Israel Air Force initiated a series of attacks involving dozens of fighter jets targeting Hamas in multiple locations within the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army spokesperson revealed that this operation included a combined ground raid conducted through paragliders, sea, and land. Israeli forces are currently engaged in combat on the ground against Hamas militants in various locations around the Gaza Strip.

As per media reports, Israel Army spokesperson was quoted saying, "It was a combined ground raid which happened through paragliders, through the sea and through the ground. Right now we're fighting. We're fighting in certain locations around the Gaza Stripâ€æ our forces are now fighting on the ground,"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video statement, emphasized Israel's determination to win the war, declaring, "We are at war, and we will win... Our enemy will pay a price the type of which it has never known."

Following a security cabinet meeting at the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv, Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that Hamas had committed "a grave mistake" by launching the attack. He affirmed Israel's resolve to emerge victorious in this conflict asserting, "Israel will win".

The situation escalated after Israel declared a 'state of war' in response to Hamas firing approximately 5,000 rockets from Gaza, marking one of the largest attacks on Israel in years. Multiple Hamas militants also crossed the border, infiltrating into Israel. Reports indicate that Israeli soldiers have been captured by Hamas militants.

According to Israeli media, the ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of 200 people in Israel, with approximately 1,100 individuals wounded. Among the injured, at least two dozen are reported to be in serious or critical condition, as per an update at 2:00 p.m.
