India Recognised as Most Trusted Place for Investors Amid Global Disruptions, Says Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted India's growing reputation as a reliable nation amid global uncertainties. Speaking at a press conference during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, he noted that international investors and leaders recognise India's potential. Vaishnaw emphasised that despite worldwide disruptions, India stands out as a nation committed to peace, inclusion, and growth for all.

India: A Trusted Place Amid Global Disruptions

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu remarked on the unprecedented unity displayed by the Indian delegation in Davos. He shared that although he has attended since 1967, this is the first time Team India has presented such a united front. Naidu mentioned that the delegation received significant attention this year.

India's Unified Front at Davos

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed pride in Indian leaders speaking with one voice at Davos. He stressed the importance of collective growth among states, which is now evident in India. Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh echoed this sentiment, envisioning the next 25 years as pivotal for India's development.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan described the gathering as a representation of "One India," aligning with Prime Minister Modi's vision for the country on a global platform. Lokesh added that cooperation between states and the Centre is crucial for making India a developed nation by 2047.

Strengthening International Relations

Vaishnaw addressed questions about India's international relations, highlighting strong ties with Switzerland. He mentioned that a free trade agreement with a European bloc including Switzerland would bring substantial benefits across various sectors and states. Regarding US relations, he affirmed that trust between India and the US will bolster both economies.

When asked about potential advantages from tensions between Europe and China, Vaishnaw stated that India operates on a policy of trust in its international dealings. He clarified that India does not choose sides but maintains its own identity in global relations.

Naidu concluded by stating that India's golden era has begun, with states both competing and complementing each other. He believes that if everyone collaborates, India will undoubtedly become number one. This sentiment reflects the optimism shared by Indian leaders at Davos.
