Immense Pressure From Families Of Hostages: Netanyahu Says Israel Has To Continue Fighting In Gaza

Until Hamas is destroyed and all hostages are freed, Israel will continue fighting in Gaza, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Earlier, it was said that an end will be put to the war, but now Israel has said that it has "no choice" till Hamas poses a threat to its territory.

Netanyahu said that he has immense pressure from the families of the hostages. He also added his commitment to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Earlier, a ceasefire was made to stop mass destruction and Israel had asked Hamas to release at least half of hostages, but terror organisation rejected its proposal.

The statement came hours after Israel killed more than 90 people in an airstrike within 48 hours, Gaza's Health Ministry said. Israeli forces have also been intensifying action to disarm Hamas and get hostages freed at the earliest.

As per Hospital staff, 15 people were killed overnight, including women and children too.

In Khan Younis, a southern city of Gaza, designated as humanitarian zone, where thousands of displaced people are sheltering, was also bombed and 11 lost their lives.

Israel Takes Control Of Large "Security Zone"

Israel has pledged to terminate Hamas by escalating its military operations and take control over most of "security zones" having a population of nearly 2 million people. On the other hand, Hamas is demanding a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from its land.

For last 6 weeks, Israel has blocked entry of food and essential supplies.

The United Nations reported that most people in Gaza are currently surviving on less than one meal a day.
