I am the biggest supporter of LeT and like Hafiz Saeed, says Pervez Musharraf

Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday said that he is the biggest fan of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and that he likes Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

''I am the biggest supporter of LeT and I know they like me and JuD also likes me,'' Musharraf said while speaking to Pakistan's ARY News. He also said 'yes' on being asked if he likes Hafiz Saeed, added that, 'I have met him (Hafiz Saeed)'

''Was always in favor of action in Kashmir & of suppressing Indian Army in Kashmir & they are the biggest force (LeT), India got them declared as terrorists by partnering with US. Yes they (LeT) are involved in Kashmir & in Kashmir it is between we and India,'' said Musharraf to ARY News.

It can be recalled that the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) head Hafiz Saeed, who carries a USD 10 million American bounty on his head for terror activities, walked free on Friday after the Pakistan government decided against detaining him further in any other case. He was under house arrest since January this year.

Saeed, who is accused of having masterminded the November 2008 Mumbai attack that killed 166 people, was placed on the terrorism blacklist by the United Nations under UN Security Council Resolution 1267 in December 2008.

The JuD is believed to be the front organisation for the banned LeT which is responsible for carrying out the Mumbai terror attack in 2008.

Saeed was put under house arrest after the Mumbai attack in November 2008 but he was freed by a court in 2009.

Nine of the Mumbai attackers were killed by police while lone survivor Ajmal Kasab was caught and executed after a trial.
