Hurricane hunters fly through eye of monster Irma
Hurricane hunters who have shared a video of Hurricane Irma on Monday are tracking a "potentially catastrophic" storm as it barrels across the Caribbean this week. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Hurricane Hunters shared the video of the Lockheed WP-3D Orion, also known as Kermit, crew flying through the hurricane.

It is learnt that the plane used on this flight was a WP-3D Orion aircraft. The video shows how the smooth flight after entering to the storm, things get worse.
The video shows the plane initially took off very smoothly and once when the hurricane hunters get close, the plane started shaking in the storm winds before the screen turns white as they go through the hurricane.
Some Twitter users after looking at the video footage have commented that it is "impressive" video. The aircraft gathers valuable information that is used to track the storm's motion and intensity.
The monster hurricane Irma is expected to strengthen in the next couple of days, and its center is forecast to move near or over the northern Leeward Islands on Tuesday night and early Wednesday, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.
