"Honored to lead the US delegation to #GES2017 in India & meet with PM Modi & passionate entrepreneurs from around the globe," tweeted Ivanka.

In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tweet on Thursday night, the US President reconfirmed his daughter's participation at the summit.

"@IvankaTrump will lead the U.S. delegation to India this fall, supporting women's entrepreneurship globally. #GES2017 @narendramodi," tweeted the President.

It was Modi, who on Thursday, first confirmed about the upcoming event on Twitter. He also confirmed Ivanka's participation in the event. He said the three-day event would aim to bring together entrepreneurs of the two countries.

"The Summit is a unique opportunity for bringing together entrepreneurs and start-ups with global leader," PM Modi tweeted.

"Look forward to Ms Ivanka Trump's presence at GES 2017 Hyderabad as the leader of the US delegation," he said in another tweet.

Modi, during his meeting with Trump in Washington in June, had invited Ivanka for the GES.

Ivanka had later tweeted, "Thank you, Prime Minister Modi, for inviting me to lead the US delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India this fall."

The event is being organised by the NITI Aayog in coordination with Ministry of External Affairs.
