From Gun Used To Anti-Russia Stance Suspect: Here's All We Know About Shooting On Donald Trump
Former US President Donald Trump faced another assassination attempt in Florida on Sunday, months after surviving a shooting at an election rally. The suspect, Ryan Routh, was apprehended after fleeing the scene, leaving behind an AK-47 style rifle and a GoPro camera.
US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the attack, emphasising that violence has no place in America. This incident comes just months before the upcoming US presidential elections, potentially impacting the political landscape.

Details of the Incident
Trump was playing golf in Florida when Secret Service agents spotted a gunman hiding in bushes near the property line of the golf course. The agents opened fire on the suspect, who was a few hundred yards from Trump. The suspect fled but was later arrested.
The US Secret Service confirmed that one or more agents fired at the gunman near Trump's golf course boundary. An AK-47 style rifle with a scope and a GoPro video camera were recovered from the scene.
Suspect Identified
The suspected shooter was identified as Ryan Wesley Routh by CNN, Fox News, and The New York Times. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding his identity or further details about him.
A Bloomberg report based on CNN information revealed that Routh's purported social media account contained multiple posts condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine. These messages called for foreign soldiers to defend Ukraine. The profile has since been suspended.
Previous Attack
This apparent attempt on Trump's life occurred just two months after he was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. During that incident, Trump sustained a minor injury to his right ear.
The recent attack underscores ongoing security concerns as Trump prepares for the upcoming presidential elections. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the motives behind these attempts.
The events have sparked discussions about political violence and its implications for future elections in the United States. As investigations proceed, authorities aim to ensure heightened security measures for all candidates.
