Freddie Gray death: Six Baltimore police officers indicted
Washington, May 22: Six police officers in Baltimore have been indicted in connection with death of Freddie Gray, media reported on Friday.
The 25 year-old unarmed Freddie Grey was arrested by Baltimore police on April 12 for possession of a switchblade. He died a week later on April 19 after suffering severe spinal cord injury.
The policemen were indicted after prosecutors presented evidence to a grand jury for two weeks, CNN reported citing Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby as saying.
Freddie's death had set off protests, riots and looting in Baltimore.
Gray's death last month after allegedly suffering a devastating spinal injury while in police custody sparked protests and riots in Baltimore and other cities in US.
