#PantsuitPosse Flash mob: Tribute to Hillary Clinton’s penchant for pantsuits

The supporters of Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, created a storm in New York City as they paid tribute to their leader’s penchant for pantsuits in a flash mob.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported how a group of 150 people dressed in colourful pantsuits, looking like their leader, came together in Union Square to perform a choreographed routine to Justin Timberlake's song, Can't Stop The Feeling!.

Flash mob homage: Dance like Hillary Clinton in pantsuits

The video is creating a storm in the social media as art and activism came together in the US presidential election.

Clinton’s love for pantsuits goes a long way. In fact, till 1993 women were barred from sporting pantsuits on the Senate floor in the United States. The Democratic presidential nominee's special-liking for pantsuits is well-known as she often flaunts them. Among other things, Clinton’s Twitter description includes "pantsuit aficionado".

In a Facebook post, co-choreographer Crishon Jerome wrote that the flash mob was aimed to combine “art with a bit of activism” to stop Donald Trump from becoming the next President of the United States.

“Now is the time to stand up against this bully. Action here is a stand against racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, injustice and so much more. It's a stand for PEACE, LOVE and EQUALITY.”
