Firing at Kapil Sharma’s Canada Cafe: Khalistani Angle Under Probe
A video circulating online shows gunfire at Kapil Sharma's new restaurant in Canada. The incident occurred on July 9 outside Kap's Cafe in Surrey, British Columbia. The café had only been open for a few days before the shooting took place.
Security footage and online clips reveal a person firing multiple shots from a moving vehicle targeting the cafe's front. At least nine shots were fired, leaving bullet marks on the cafe's glass and nearby structures. Fortunately, no injuries occurred as the cafe was closed, with no staff or patrons present.

Social Media Reaction
A Twitter account shared the shooting video, quickly drawing attention. The visuals captured the nighttime attack with audible gunfire sounds. Social media users expressed concern for safety and urged increased security measures at the location.
The Twitter post stated: "World Famous comedian Kapil Sharma's newly inaugurated restaurant KAP'S CAFE shot at in Surrey, BC, Canada last night. Harjit Singh Laddi, a BKI operative, NIA's (INDIA) most wanted terrorist has claimed this shoot out citing some remarks by Kapil."
Police Investigation
Local police arrived shortly after the incident to begin an investigation. Bullet casings were collected, and the area was secured for forensic analysis. CCTV footage from nearby businesses was also gathered for examination.
Harjit Singh Laddi, a fugitive linked to Babbar Khalsa International and wanted by India's National Investigation Agency, claimed responsibility. He cited remarks made by Kapil Sharma as motivation, though Canadian authorities have not confirmed this claim officially.
Café Details and Public Response
Kap's Cafe, launched by Sharma and his wife earlier this month, offers a fusion of Indian drinks and modern desserts. It gained online interest due to its soft opening and celebrity connection. No suspects have been apprehended yet.
The police continue their investigation, reviewing additional surveillance footage and evidence. Authorities have not provided a timeline for when the café might reopen. Kapil Sharma has not commented publicly on the incident.
