Fire in China: 38 people killed in Henan province
Beijing, May 26: At least 38 people were killed and six others injured after a fire engulfed a nursing home in China's Henan province, media reported on Tuesday.
Fire broke out at one of the buildings of the privately-owned Kangleyuan nursing home in Pingdingshan City on late Monday, CNN reported.

The blaze was extinguished less than an hour after it broke out but 38 of the home's 51 residents were killed.
Two of the injured were seriously hurt, said a statement issued by the Administration of Work Safety in Henan.
The reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained and an investigation is underway, state media reported, citing authorities.
