Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, the second-longest reigning monarch in the world, owns the largest private car collection globally. Valued at $5 billion, his collection features over 7,000 luxury vehicles, including more than 600 Rolls-Royces.

The Bentley

The Sultan's collection includes a significant number of vintage Bentleys from the 1980s and 1990s. These primarily consist of Azure and Continental models, collectively valued at around $80 million.

The Ferrari

Among his Italian exotic cars is an extremely rare Ferrari F50. Only 349 of these were produced, showcasing his preference for unique and personalised vehicles.

The Porsche

The Sultan's collection also boasts an impressive 55 Porsche 928s, including 32 S4 models. This highlights Porsche's successful diversification beyond their iconic 911 model.

The Rolls-Royce

In 2011, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah set a Guinness World Record for owning the largest private Rolls-Royce collection globally. Although the current exact number is unknown, estimates suggest it exceeds 600 unique models.

The Aston Martin

The Sultan has a history of commissioning bespoke Aston Martins. One notable example is the extraordinary AM3, a one-off grand tourer derived from the Vantage and designed in collaboration with Pininfarina.

The McLaren

His collection includes an impressive ten McLaren F1s out of the 106 units produced. Notably, he also owns one of the three highly sought-after McLaren F1 GT 'Longtail' variants.

The Bugatti

No high-calibre car collection would be complete without Bugatti. The Sultan's collection reportedly includes multiple Bugatti EB 110s, an ultra-rare mid-engine supercar with only 139 examples produced in the 1990s.

BMW Nazca M12

This could be regarded as the last traditional BMW supercar with a potent large-capacity engine before subsequent models like the i8 ventured into innovative performance hybrid territory.

Koenigsegg CCX

The exclusive CCXR variant is valued at $1.3 million and features a unique eco-friendly 4.8-litre flex-fuel engine capable of operating on biofuels. This makes it a more environmentally conscious option among high-performance vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz S73 T AMG Wagon

Before AMG became a ubiquitous trim level, Mercedes created this rare and exceptional model that stood out from mass-market branding synonymous with later models.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's opulent car collection reflects his passion for luxury and exclusivity in automobiles. His extensive array of vehicles showcases some of the most iconic and rarest cars ever made.
