“Either Have A Deal Or…”: Donald Trump Says Iran Deal Is Near, Warns Tehran Of Fresh Attacks If Talks Fail

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed that negotiations with Iran had entered a decisive phase, while also warning Tehran of possible military action if no agreement is reached in the coming days. His remarks come amid continuing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran after weeks of stalled progress following the ceasefire linked to Operation Epic Fury.

Trump Says Iran Talks Nearing Final Outcome

Speaking to reporters, Trump suggested that the United States was prepared for both a diplomatic breakthrough and a tougher course of action if talks collapse. He indicated that negotiations were now approaching a critical stage after several rounds of backchannel discussions.

"We're in the final stages of Iran. We'll see what happens. Either have a deal or we're going to do some things that are a little bit nasty, but hopefully that won't happen," he told reporters on Wednesday.

The comments arrived nearly six weeks after Trump paused Operation Epic Fury under a ceasefire arrangement. Earlier this week, he had revealed that he was close to authorising additional strikes before deciding to allow more time for diplomacy.

"We're going to give this one shot. I'm in no hurry," Trump said. "Ideally I'd like to see few people killed, as opposed to a lot. We can do it either way."

Draft Agreement Could Be Finalised Soon

As negotiations continue, reports suggest that both sides are attempting to complete the wording of a potential agreement. According to Al Arabiya, citing sources, the final text of the deal may be ready within hours if discussions proceed without disruption.

The report also stated that Pakistan's army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir could travel to Iran on Thursday to announce the final version of the agreement. Another round of negotiations is also expected to take place in Islamabad after the Hajj season.

Diplomatic observers believe the coming days may determine whether the region moves toward stability or another phase of military confrontation.

Iran Accuses US Of Preparing For Fresh Conflict

Meanwhile, Iran strongly pushed back against Trump's warning, accusing Washington of attempting to reignite tensions in West Asia. Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf claimed the United States had not abandoned its military ambitions despite ongoing negotiations.

"The enemy's movements, both overt and clandestine, show that despite economic and political pressure, it has not abandoned its military objectives and is seeking to start a new war," Ghalibaf said in an audio message carried by Iranian media.

He also warned that Tehran would respond aggressively if conflict resumes. His statement followed comments from Iran's Revolutionary Guards, who said any renewed confrontation would extend far beyond West Asia.

Rising Tensions Keep Region On Edge

Despite signs of diplomatic engagement, both Washington and Tehran continue to exchange threats publicly, raising concerns about the fragile nature of the negotiations. Analysts say the uncertainty surrounding the proposed agreement has kept the region on edge, especially after months of military escalation and retaliatory threats.

While Trump insists he prefers a peaceful outcome, Iran's leadership remains deeply suspicious of US intentions, leaving the possibility of another confrontation still looming over the negotiations.
