Dog jumps in front of bus to save blind owner, gets injured but stays by her side

New York, June 11: A dog risked his life by throwing himself in front of a mini school bus to protest his blind owner and stayed by her side during treatment.

The incident happened in Brewster on Monday. Both Figo, the golden retriever, and his owner Audrey Stone were recovering from injuries, authorities said.

Police said the dog stood with his owner despite taking a blow. The driver of the bus said he didn't see the two crossing the road and was summoned over the crash. The two kids in the bus were not injured.
