Fliers doing rounds in Columbia University warning students of rapists

, May 15: Students of the New York Columbia University are terrified of 'alleged rapists' who have been lurking around the campus.

According to a report in CNN (read here), fliers are being circulated withing the campus. The fliers have the names of the alleged rapists and has asked the students to be alert.

Ealier this month close to 23 students filed a complaint against Columbia University as they alleged that the University failed to protect the victims of sexual assault. In their complaints students also said that they were discouraged to file any sexual assault reports.

Students even alleged that the University was shielding these perpretators.

The University has however dismissed the claims saying 'the University does not comment on the particulars of disciplinary proceedings regarding sexual misconduct.'

The campaign however has seen massive support from students and others from outside, who think that this will help the students on campaus be more vigilante.
