China Relaxes Entry Norms: Covid-19 Testing No Longer Mandatory For Travelers
China on Monday announced that it will drop COVID-19 testing requirements for people arriving from overseas, effective immediately. The announcement, which was made by the National Health Commission, comes as China eases its strict zero-COVID policy in an effort to boost its economy.
Under the new policy, inbound travelers will no longer be required to take a pre-departure COVID-19 test or a test upon arrival in China. However, they will still be required to undergo a health declaration and temperature check.

The easing of testing requirements is a major step forward for China, which has been one of the most restrictive countries in the world in terms of its COVID-19 policies. The move is likely to be welcomed by businesses and travelers, who have been frustrated by the lengthy and expensive testing requirements.
The announcement comes as China is facing increasing pressure to reopen its borders. The country's economy has been hit hard by the zero-COVID policy, which has led to widespread business closures and travel restrictions.
The easing of testing requirements is a sign that China is gradually starting to relax its zero-COVID policy. However, it is still unclear how long it will take for the country to fully reopen its borders.
