Avoid Unnecessary Movements: India's Advisory For Nationals As Israel Strikes Iran
As Israel struck Iranian nuclear targets to block Tehran from developing atomic weapons, the Indian Embassy in Iran has issued an advisory for Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin to exercise caution.
In a post on X, the Embassy of India in Iran stated: "In view of the current situation in Iran, all Indian nationals & persons of Indian origin in Iran are requested to remain vigilant, avoid all unnecessary movements, follow the Embassy's social media accounts & observe safety protocols as advised by local authorities." It comes after Iran carried out airstrikes on Iran on Friday.

Tensions in the Middle East have surged to a critical point after Israel launched a significant military strike against multiple targets in Iran, including key nuclear-related facilities. In response, Iranian media has confirmed the activation of its air defense systems, while Israel has declared a national state of emergency in anticipation of potential retaliation.
Israeli officials have stated that their forces targeted a range of military and nuclear locations. This comes amid heightened international concern over Iran's nuclear program, with reports suggesting that Tehran now possesses enough enriched uranium to produce several nuclear warheads.
In a video statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country is at a decisive moment in the history. "Moments ago Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel's very survival. This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat."
"In defending ourselves, we also defend others. We defend our Arab neighbours. They too have suffered from Iran's campaign of chaos and carnage. Our actions against Iran's proxy Hezbollah led to the establishment of a new government in Lebanon and the collapse of Assad's murderous regime in Syria. The people of those two countries now have a chance for a different future, a better future" Netanyahu stated.
In a major blow to Iran, the leader of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard Hossein Salami was killed.
