After White House stint, Obama to get on LinkedIn for a job
Washington, June 22: US President Barack Obama on Tuesday (June 21) said he would get on LinkedIn since he would be landing on the job market after his tenure in the White House gets over in January next year, an AFP report said.
Obama, 55, said this while addressing the SelectUSA Investment Summit here.

"In seven months or so, I'll be on the job market. And I'm glad I'm going to be here, because I'm going to get on LinkedIn and see what comes up," he said.
Obama, who lauded the US on the occasion as an "extraoridinary place to do business", however, did not joke about using professional networking site LinkedIn, which Microsoft has recently purchased for $26.2 billion.
In February, he posted about youth programmes on LinkedIn which is used for exchanging career advice, contacts and job offers.
Obama also said in that post about his first job on that occasion and it was that of an ice-cream vendor in Honolulu. He said the job was not glamorous but had taught him responsibility, hard work and balancing jobs with friends, family and schools.
