10-Year-Old, a Maths whizz and UK's youngest varsity student

London, Feb 24: Meet another Whizz kid, 10-year-old Esther Okade. A genius in Math, she has already gotten herself enrolled in a UK university. To top it all, she is the youngest student there.

Home-tutored, the girl exhibits an incredible grasp of calculations, which won her an undergraduate degree just 3 weeks ago. Moreover, she scored a 100% on a recent test.

Surprisingly, it runs in the family. Her 6-year old brother too is a genius and is already taking an A-level in maths, according to media reports.

Esther now wishes to get a First Class honours degree in 2 years and is aiming for a PhD thereafter.

Narrating the process of applying in the university, her mother said that it was difficult convincing the authorities that she was eligible for enrollment.

"We even had to talk to the Vice Chancellor. After they interviewed her they realised that this has been her idea from the beginning," she further added.

She applied in August last year, followed by a phone interview and a maths test. She was finally informed that she was accepted for the course.
