The controversial CD went viral in the state, allegedly after it was shared by the opposition party. Madhya Pradesh is ruled by the BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is looking to win the third straight mandate for his party this time.

Patel, however, said that the allegations were baing made to malign him. Addressing a press conference at his residence, he said the opposition is trying to taint the Congress ahead of the polls, adding that he would come out clean.

He said the clipping is a doctored one and he would comment on it only after seeing it. He said forensic experts were examining the clip.
