Digvijay Singh's crusade against Narendra Modi continues

Indore, Oct 20: Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh on Sunday took a dig at BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi by asking whether former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje was born in poverty. He also alleged that Modi doesn't support the poor.

Singh's remark came a day after Modi lashed out at Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, accusing him of making fun of the poor.

He said born with a silver spoon, the Congress leader had no understanding of poverty and felt that it was a "state of mind". Hitting out at the UPA's pet food security scheme, Modi said it would not feed the poor and leave them hungry.

Digvijaya Singh counter-attacked Modi's remark that the UPA government only works for the betterment of the rich and alleged that the Gujarat model of development also favours just the rich.
