Digvijay Singh's crusade against Narendra Modi continues

Singh's remark came a day after Modi lashed out at Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, accusing him of making fun of the poor.

He said born with a silver spoon, the Congress leader had no understanding of poverty and felt that it was a "state of mind". Hitting out at the UPA's pet food security scheme, Modi said it would not feed the poor and leave them hungry.

Digvijaya Singh counter-attacked Modi's remark that the UPA government only works for the betterment of the rich and alleged that the Gujarat model of development also favours just the rich.
