Young Photographer's Shocking Murder: Vizag Man Killed By 2 Men For ₹10 Lakh Camera
The murder of a 23-year-old professional photographer, P. Sai Pawan Kalyan, from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, for his camera, was confirmed by police on Sunday.
The victim was lured under the pretext of a photo shoot by the accused, who subsequently killed him and looted his camera and other equipment.

The incident, which took place on February 26 near Ravulapalem in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, saw the accused burying the photographer's body at Mulasthanam in the same district. The case was cracked by the Visakhapatnam police, who initiated the investigation on February 29 after Kalyan's parents filed a missing complaint. On Sunday, the police uncovered the body after the accused led them to the burial site.
Kalyan, a Madhurawada resident, earned a livelihood through photography, covering events such as weddings. He took bookings online and traveled to remote locations for assignments. The main accused, Shanmukh, arranged a photo shoot with Kalyan in Ravulapalem. Kalyan left for the shoot on February 26 with his camera and equipment. Upon reaching Rajamahendravaram railway station, he was picked up by Shanmukh and his accomplice in a car.
According to the police, they ambushed and strangled Kalyan near Ravulapalem as planned, burying his body afterward and stealing his camera and other belongings. Upon Kalyan's failure to return and his unreachable phone status for three days, his parents lodged a complaint with the PM Palem police station in Visakhapatnam. Based on call data, the police apprehended Shanmukh for interrogation. He confessed to the crime, stating that he and his friend committed it for the sake of Kalyan's camera, valued at Rs 10 lakh.
