The purpose of this battle, according to Nambardar, is to defend the honor of daughters who have accused BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. He is also accused the BJP of attempting to divert attention from the issue by calling the protest a matter concerning only one state's girls.

The complainants have accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of repeatedly attempting to touch them inappropriately, but he has not been arrested by the Delhi police. Similarly, Haryana minister Sandeep Singh, who faces similar allegations, still holds a ministerial position, and the Chandigarh police have also failed to arrest him.
