Where is Amritpal Singh trying to run? His route map to Pakistan
All eyes are on the Nepal border as radical Sikh leader, Amritpal Singh continues to dodge the the police.
The Punjab Police had launched a massive man-hunt for Amritpal Singh a week back, but the man remains elusive.

Amritpal Singh will do his best not to get caught by the Indian establishment. In a recent video which was leaked, he was heard saying that getting caught by the police would be a major embarrassment to him and his movement.
An Intelligence Bureau official tells OneIndia that Amritpal Singh is looking to get out the country. He has managed to gain quite a bit of traction in Punjab and will look to run the movement from abroad. If he is arrested, a lot about his links will come out during investigation and his primary intention is to ensure that does not happen, the official also said.
Meanwhile posters of Amritpal Singh have come up in in the Rupaidiha town on the Indo-Nepal border. The posters came up following Intelligence inputs that suggested that he is trying to flee the country through the Nepal border. His last known location was said to be in Delhi. He is likely to try entering Uttar Pradesh and then flee to Nepal, the Intelligence on him suggests.
The official cited above also said that this is a classic operation that the ISI follows. It gets terrorists into India and when the heat is high, the spy agency looks to get them out of India through the Nepal border.
The Nepal border has been a massive headache for the security agencies. It has for years now given an easy pass to anti-social elements. Over the years, the touts have mushroomed along this border who ferry India's most wanted men on bikes for as less as Rs 500 per ride.
With there being clear signals of Amritpal trying to make an exit from India, the patrolling along the Nepal border has gone up. There are 22 high-tech CCTVs in place of which a few use facial recognition software.
Another reason why Amritpal Singh, the route through Rupaidiha to flee the country is because of the presence of a considerable Sikh population. The Bahraich and Lakhimpur districts which have a good number of Sikhs presents Amritpal Singh with the opportunity to hide there and then flee from India.
Another official explained that Amritpal would try and enter Nepal, following which the ISI will help get a safe pass into Pakistan. Amritpal would look to run his operations from Pakistan like how the proscribed outfit, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) headed by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun does from the United States. Even if he does manage to escape, his online activities need to be monitored closely as he will continue to radicalise the Sikh youth through his provocative speeches and agenda, the official also explained.
