Imran Khan, an automobile enthusiast and a foodie, has started a motor-themed café in Srinagar which is winning the hearts of locals and tourists these days.

Srinagar, May 16: Kashmir is always in the news for violence and terror. Hardly, we talk about the people of the beautiful valley where life is really difficult but not impossible.

Amid all these chaos and uncertainty, residents of Kashmir are trying their best to make their lives a little better. One among them is a young entrepreneur who has started a restaurant where patrons can come and enjoy a good meal amid a lot of their favourite automobiles.

Yes, you have heard it right. Imran Khan, an automobile enthusiast and a foodie, has started a motor-themed café in Srinagar which is winning the hearts of locals and tourists these days.

Cheekily named Motor Café, the restaurant is based on automobile industry, especially for "motor heads and gourmet fusion food lovers".

Talking about his pet project, Khan told ANI that apart from the creative theme, the cafe also aims to offer people an escape from the tension in Kashmir.

"I thought the youth definitely needed a place to go where they can relax and feel away from the whole Kashmir situation for a while," he added.

Regarding the profit he is making through his eatery, Khan said that tourists and locals love to come here. "Here things are different, unlike in the rest of the country. Tension and violence can erupt anytime. Business is not booming but definitely encouraging," he smiled.

Along with enjoying a nice gourmet meal amid a lot of automobile parts hanging from the walls of the joint, the patrons of the eatery are spoilt for choice with an eclectic menu which has food from across the world.
