India Voter Fraud Row Erupts Over Woman’s Viral Post Claiming Multiple Votes

A Brazilian woman's photo recently circulated on social media after Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition, raised voter fraud allegations. Now, an Indian woman finds herself embroiled in the controversy. Identified as Urrmi on her X account, she allegedly voted in Pune during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and again in Bihar's ongoing Assembly polls. Her posts show her with an inked finger after voting in both states.

In one post dated May 13, 2024, she wrote, "Go Vote, Pune! Voted for development, voted for a clean governance, voted for a Modi-fied India!" However, another post from November 6, 2025 reads: "Voted for a Modi-fied India! Jaai ke Vote daali, Bihar!" This sparked debate over whether it was voter fraud or sarcasm.

Social Media Reactions

Congress leaders shared these images to support their claims of voter fraud. Meanwhile, some social media users argued that her second post was sarcastic. Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe Patil shared screenshots of her posts with the caption: "I will vote in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha. I will vote in Bihar in the Vidhan Sabha. I will steal votes for Modi."

The woman later clarified her intentions through another post after the November 6 one went viral. She stated that she never claimed to have voted on the day of Bihar elections. "Okay, this was just for motivation. I never said I voted today — I said I voted. And everyone knows it was in Maharashtra. So calm down! Motivated enough? Now your turn, Bihar. Go vote!!" she wrote.

AAP's Allegations Against BJP

In a similar vein, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused BJP leaders of voting twice in Delhi and Bihar elections. Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP's Delhi president, alleged that BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha and others cast votes twice. Although BJP did not officially respond, one leader explained he had transferred his vote from Delhi to Bihar.

Rakesh Sinha addressed these accusations by stating: "Baseless and morally contested allegations are being levelled against me by liars and morally degraded leaders of Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and their ilk. My name is only on Bihar's electoral roll. It was earlier in Delhi's electoral roll, and I got it deleted through a procedure established by law."

Brazilian Model Involved

Rahul Gandhi continued his claims of electoral fraud by sharing a photo of a woman he identified as a Brazilian model named Larissa Nery. He alleged her image appeared at polling booths in Haryana under various names like Seema and Sweety. Larissa reacted to her picture being used online by stating it was old and taken when she was about 20 years old.

In a video message addressing the situation, Larissa expressed confusion over how her photo was being used: "They are using a photo of mine to run, I don't know if it's an election, something where you have to vote. And in India, they are portraying me as an Indian woman to scam others," she said while mentioning journalists were contacting her for interviews.
