Video of little girl hit in Iran and her nose bleeding goes viral

In Iran the hijab has been a contentious issue. It was made mandatory following the Islamic revolution in 1979 and the headscarf is still compulsory

A video went viral on February 22 which shows a young girl sitting on a road in Iran and crying as blood oozes from her nose.

On Twitter those sharing the video claimed that the little girl was hit on her face for not wearing a hijab.

Two women can be seen in the video helping and comforting the young girl.

"Little girl bleeding after getting hit in Iran. Her fault? She didn't wear Hijab. "Hijab is a choice" is the biggest scam of our times," Twitter user Monica Verma wrote on Twitter.

According to Twitter users, the latest victims is Sara Shirazi, an elementary school student. She was hit by a lady called Razia Haft Baradaran, when she was on her way to school.

Now only was the little girl beaten up, but her family was also threatened with a fate similar to that of Mahsa Amini, if they protested or approached the media, users on Twitter said.

However it has been learnt that the girl was not bleeding because she was hit by the morality police for not wearing a hijab.

The incident took place at the Khaneh neighbourhood of Isfahan, Iran. The students were fighting over some person issue, following which the mother of one of the students intervened and slapped the other child. The police had lodged a case against the mother who slapped the child, reports said.

The girl's mother narrated the incident to various news sites and said that her daughter is fine, but her nose is injured. The father has requested the authorities to take action and deal with the lady who assaulted her daughter.
