UAE President Advocates for Cooperation at Vibrant Gujarat Summit
The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit witnessed the participation of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the chief guest. The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 commenced in Gandhinagar, India, with the esteemed presence of United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the chief guest. President Al Nahyan emphasized the significance of fostering international collaboration and building bridges of cooperation to promote economic growth and address global challenges.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the participation of several dignitaries from various countries, who shared their perspectives on strengthening partnerships and cooperation with India.
Japan: A Strategic Partnership
Japans Vice Minister for International Affairs Hosaka Shin highlighted the special strategic partnership between India and Japan, rooted in shared values of freedom, democracy, and human rights. He announced the selection of semiconductor corporations from Japan with the potential to contribute to India's growth, accompanied by support for attracting Japanese investments in the hydrogen domain.
UK: A Living Bridge
UK Minister of State Lord Tariq Ahmed conveyed greetings from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, acknowledging the strong ties between the United Kingdom and India. He commended Prime Minister Modi's role in defining the living bridge between the two nations and emphasized the warmth and shared values that bridge the geographical distance between them.
Armenia: Growing Trade and Investments
Minister of Economy, Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, highlighted the increasing movement of trade and investments between India and Armenia. He expressed appreciation for Armenian investments finding fertile ground in India and welcomed the flourishing of Indian investments in Armenia.
Estonia: Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration
Minister of Economic Affairs and Information Technology of Estonia, Tiit Riisalo, expressed Estonia's readiness to collaborate with India and share knowledge in areas such as digital public goods, e-governance, cyber security, green tech, and medicines. He emphasized the importance of upholding shared values like democracy, rule of law, and market economy, acknowledging India's instrumental role in promoting these values globally.
Morocco: Forging a Stronger Partnership
Minister of Industry and Commerce, Morocco, Ryad Mezzour, called for a stronger and more dynamic partnership between Morocco and India, leveraging their respective strengths. He proposed South-South triangular cooperation to promote growth in Africa, India, and the world, emphasizing the need for joint initiatives that include the African continent in industrialization, economic development, food security, and healthcare.
Nepal: Power Purchase Agreement and Economic Policies
In his address, Finance minister of Nepal, Prakash Sharan Mahat, announced the signing of a long-term power purchase agreement between Nepal and India for exporting 10,000 MW of electricity over ten years. He highlighted the potential for investment opportunities in hydropower in Nepal and its contribution to achieving green energy transition goals in both Nepal and India. He also mentioned Nepal's adoption of liberal, market-oriented economic policies since the early nineties and its membership in various international organizations.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 brought together global leaders and dignitaries to discuss economic cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development. The summit provided a platform for strengthening partnerships, sharing knowledge, and exploring new opportunities for mutual growth and prosperity.
