Vibrant Gujarat Summit: Ambani Hails PM Modi, Adani Shares Big Plans

Mukesh Ambani praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Vibrant Gujarat summit, on January 10. The second richest person in Asia commended PM Modi as the most successful prime minister in India's history, reported ANI.

While praising the PM, he also announced that Reliance will always be considered a Gujarati company. Notably, both Ambani and Modi hail from Gujarat, a prosperous state in India. Ambani expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, describing him as both a nationalist and internationalist, laying a solid foundation for India's development.

Speaking at the summit, Ambani stated, "I have come from the city of the Gateway of India to the gateway of modern India's growth - Gujarat. I am a proud Gujarati...When foreigners think of a new India, they think of a new Gujarat." Further, he added, "How did this transformation happen? Because of one leader, who has emerged as the greatest global leader of our times - PM Modi, the most successful PM in India's history."

During his address in Gujarat, Ambani revealed that one-third of Reliance's $150 billion investments in India in the last decade occurred in Gujarat."Reliance was, is and will always remain a Gujarati company...Reliance has invested over 150 billion dollars - ₹12 lakh crores - in creating world-class assets and capacities across India in the last 10 years, of which more than 1/3rd has been invested in Gujarat alone," he added.

Mukesh Ambani lauded the Vibrant Gujarat Summit as the most prestigious investor summit globally. He emphasized its longevity, attributing it to PM Modi's vision and consistency. The summit, initiated by Narendra Modi during his tenure as Gujarat's chief minister, has continued for 20 years.

    Further, he stated that no power on earth could prevent India from becoming a $35 trillion economy, with Gujarat's economy reaching $3 trillion. He encouraged young people to enter the economy, innovate, and contribute to the ease of living and earning for millions. Ambani envisioned India becoming a $35 trillion economy by 2047, with Gujarat alone reaching a $3 trillion economy.

    What is Gautam Adani's big announcement?

    Meanwhile, an investment of over ₹2 lakh crore in Gujarat was announced by multi-billionaire Gautam Adani, on Wednesday. It was primarily directed towards constructing a green energy park with visibility even from space. Speaking at the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, the Adani Group head stated that this investment would generate 1 lakh jobs.

    "Of the ₹55,000 crore committed at the last summit, Adani Group has already spent ₹50,000 crore," stated Gautam Adani. The Adani Group is currently developing a green energy park in Kutch with a 30-gigawatt capacity spread across 25 square kilometres, designed to be visible from space.

    "At the last summit, Adani Group had committed ₹55,000 crore. We have already invested ₹50,000 crore. Our investment in Gujarat stands at over ₹2 lakh crore. We have initiated the green energy park with a 30-gigawatt capacity spread across 25 square km which would also be visible from space," stated Gautam Adani.

    Further, he noted that since 2014, India has achieved an unparalleled 185% growth in GDP and 165% growth in per capita income, despite facing geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges. The announcement was made in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries.
