UP Health Minister returns fire on Akhilesh's charge of 'poor law and order' in UP
Batting for the state government, Health Minister Siddharthnath Singh told reporters that instead of unnecessarily pointing fingers at the present government, Akhilesh Yadav should revisit.
Lucknow, April 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday hit back at Samajwadi Party President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for his remarks on the Yogi Adityanath government that law and order in the state is poor.

Batting for the state government, Health Minister Siddharthnath Singh told reporters that instead of unnecessarily pointing fingers at the present government, Akhilesh Yadav should revisit the 1,725 days of his government.
"The former Chief Minister is so dejected with his humiliating defeat at the polls and rejection by the people of Uttar Pradesh that he is seeing everything with a saffron lens," he said.
Singh also accused the past state government of doing nothing for the people and of remaining busy promoting their self interests and protecting family interests.
Advising the former Chief Minister of doing some introspection over the defeat at the hustings, Singh, who is also the spokesman of the government, said: "Akhilesh Yadav should ponder over the reasons on why the government which was brought in with much fanfare by the people in 2012 was booted out in such humiliation in 2017."
All that happened in the Samajwadi Party regime was land grabbing, corruption, lawlessness, exploitation of the poor and promotion of one family, the Health Minister said while claiming a new era of developmental politics in the last one month of the BJP government.
"We have taken some positive steps for the betterment of the state and an all-round development of Uttar Pradesh, and welfare of all remains at the heart of our agenda," the minister said.
Earlier in the day, Akhilesh Yadav had accused BJP supporters of wearing saffron scarfs and terrorising people and officials. He had also claimed that law and order situation in the state was in poor state.
