Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Instructs Police to Investigate Railway Track Obstructions and Prevent Future Incidents
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed senior police officials to prevent railway track obstructions. This directive was issued during a meeting with ADG-level officers, where concerns were raised about recent incidents involving cylinders, rods, and other objects found on tracks, as well as stones being thrown at trains.

The Chief Minister emphasised the need for collaboration among the GRP, RPF, railway administration, and civil police to tackle this issue. Strengthening local intelligence was also suggested to prevent such occurrences. These directives follow reports of similar incidents in districts like Kanpur, Rampur, Mahoba, and Farrukhabad over recent months.
Focus on Police Personnel Management
Adityanath also announced an e-pension system and stressed the importance of adhering to promotion timelines for police personnel. He highlighted the necessity of maintaining accurate records and posting officers based on their qualifications. Ensuring timely payment of retirement dues was another key point discussed.
The Chief Minister outlined several directives aimed at improving coordination and reporting within the force. He urged ADG-level officers to conduct regular district visits to review work and implement necessary improvements. "ADG-level officers should regularly visit districts to review work and make improvements," he stated.
These measures are part of a broader effort to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force in Uttar Pradesh. By addressing both operational challenges and personnel management issues, the state aims to ensure better law enforcement and public safety.
